Recovery Loan Scheme
The business Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS), introduced in August 2022, represents a concerted effort to bolster access to financial resources for small businesses across the UK, fostering an environment conducive to investment and expansion.
The Recovery Loan Scheme endeavours to enhance the terms available to borrowers. In instances where a lender can extend a commercial loan with more favourable conditions, they are encouraged to do so, ensuring that businesses can access the financial support they need on advantageous terms.
Businesses that took out a CBILS, CLBILS, BBLS or RLS facility before 30 June 2022 are not prevented from accessing RLS from August 2022, although in some cases it may reduce the amount a business can borrow.
